The role of Nutrition Services Porter at Parkview is integral to maintaining high standards of sanitation and cleanliness across multiple service areas, including retail, patient services, and coffee kiosks. Reporting to the Nutrition Services Manager and Supervisor, the Porter is responsible for ensuring that all service locations meet strict hygiene and safety requirements. This includes duties such as ware washing following safety guidelines and managing pot and pan supplies necessary for cooking operations. Additionally, the Porter supports the department by assisting with vendor receiving, storage, and maintenance of supplies within the storeroom. There may also be a need to transport food to various satellite locations, depending on departmental requirements. This position is versatile and may require the employee to work across different Parkview entities, adding variety and scope to daily tasks.

Job Requirements

  • must be at least 16 years of age
  • must be able to lift 40 pounds
  • must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills
  • ability to perform physical demands of frequent standing, walking, stooping, and bending
  • minimum of 1 year related work experience preferred
  • high school diploma or GED preferred

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of 1 year experience in hospitality, customer service, or general labor preferred
  • previous nutritional services experience in a medical or hospital setting preferred
