Job Description
Le Pain Quotidien, meaning "the daily bread," is a well-established global restaurant brand that embodies more than just food; it represents a lifestyle deeply rooted in tradition and community. Founded with the vision of creating an inviting space where friends and family can gather around communal tables to share in the time-honored tradition of breaking bread, Le Pain Quotidien prides itself on offering warm, fragrant freshly baked bread and high-quality, wholesome menu options. As part of Convive Brands, a New York-based hospitality group, Le Pain Quotidien operates over 50 restaurants nationwide under two main concepts: Le Pain Quotidien and Little Beet. Convive Brands focuses on building significant enterprise value through patient, long-term investment strategies and a commitment to organic growth and acquisition.
Le Pain Quotidien seeks dedicated individuals to join its team, offering a role that blends operational support with a community-driven atmosphere. The position of Dishwasher within this dynamic environment plays a crucial part in maintaining the smooth functioning of kitchen operations and ensuring restaurants meet their high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Employees in this role are responsible not only for safe and efficient operation of dishwashing machinery but also for assisting in fundamental food preparation and organization tasks that uphold the brand's reputation for quality. This hourly position, with pay ranging from $17.87 to $23.00 plus tips where eligible, offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for personal growth within Convive Brands' expansive restaurant network.
The Dishwasher role is ideal for those who value teamwork, attention to detail, and the satisfaction that comes from contributing to a positive dining experience. Working in a fast-paced environment, the dishwasher acts as a backbone to the kitchen staff by ensuring that all kitchenware, tools, and equipment remain clean and ready for use. Beyond washing duties, this role involves maintaining proper chemical and detergent levels, organizing deliveries, and supporting the overall cleanliness and organization of the restaurant's various food preparation and storage areas. Employees are expected to complete opening, closing, and mid-shift duties, adhering strictly to daily checklists to guarantee operational excellence.
Convive Brands emphasizes inclusivity and diversity, supporting a workplace culture where every team member feels valued and empowered to succeed. This role requires the ability to read, speak, and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace and offers flexibility in scheduling although it is not mandatory. Candidates with prior restaurant experience, even those new to the industry, will find a supportive environment that encourages learning and advancement. Benefits include enrollment in company-contributed health coverage, accrued paid time off, 401k plans with matching contributions after 90 days, pre-tax commuter benefits in applicable states, and team member discounts across all company brands. By joining Le Pain Quotidien and Convive Brands, employees become part of a tradition steeped in heritage and a forward-looking organization committed to hospitality excellence and community connection.
