Job Description
Our company operates a reputable Long-Term Care (LTC) facility dedicated to providing exceptional caregiving services and maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents. We prioritize adherence to company policies as well as compliance with federal and state laws, ensuring that every aspect of our facility meets rigorous standards of cleanliness and safety. Our LTC facility strives to create a supportive workplace where every staff member is valued and plays a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our residents.
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Porter to join our team on a full-time basis, working the 7 AM to 3 PM shift. The Porter will report directly to the Director of Housekeeping and will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of both private residential rooms and public areas within the facility. This role demands someone with strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the flexibility to work according to the dynamic needs of our LTC facility.
In this role, the Porter will perform daily cleaning routines including the upkeep of resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, lobbies, sitting areas, and offices. They will also manage floor care tasks such as buffing and waxing floors, vacuuming, and shampooing various types of carpeting. In addition to cleaning duties, the Porter will sanitize essential equipment like wheelchairs and medication carts, ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents. Another key responsibility includes the transport and delivery of linens throughout the facility, contributing to smooth operations and resident comfort.
The ideal candidate will possess experience working in a long-term care facility or a similar healthcare environment and must demonstrate strong reliability and an ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. Physical capability is essential for this role, as the Porter must be able to perform manual cleaning tasks throughout the shift. Adherence to company policies as well as state, federal, and local regulations is mandatory.
Our facility offers competitive rates, a 401(k) retirement plan, comprehensive healthcare benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, and paid time off to support our employees’ work-life balance. Joining our team means contributing to a respectful and professional environment while directly impacting the quality of life of individuals in our care.
