Job Description
Culver's of Viera is part of the beloved Culver's restaurant chain, known for its ButterBurgers and Fresh Frozen Custard, that began in 1984 in Sauk City, Wisconsin. Founded by Craig and Lea Culver along with Craig's parents, George and Ruth, Culver's has grown into a respected and well-loved restaurant brand that places high value on both exceptional food and outstanding customer service. The company prides itself on creating a welcoming and supportive environment for both guests and team members, emphasizing that people truly matter in delivering the quality and experience Culver's is celebrated for. Culver's of Viera, located in Melbourne, Florida, is dedicated to maintaining these values and delivering top-notch dining experiences to its community.
The Porter / Maintenance Technician position at Culver's of Viera is a full-time or part-time role with competitive hourly wages ranging from $17 to $21. This position is crucial in supporting the day-to-day operations of the restaurant by ensuring all areas — both inside and outside the building — are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role involves opening the restaurant early each morning to prepare the facility and equipment for the day's service, managing inventory with proper stock rotation, and conducting routine maintenance tasks on all equipment. Porters help coordinate efforts with the opening team to ensure operational efficiency and assist with janitorial duties like cleaning grills, floors, and restrooms, contributing substantially to the smooth running of the kitchen and dining areas during busy lunch shifts.
Culver's fosters a positive work environment that encourages career growth through on-the-job training, team-oriented support, and flexible scheduling, recognizing that a motivated and dependable team is the backbone of their success. Applicants can expect a workplace that values strong work ethics, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and dedication to safety, with plenty of opportunities for personal and professional development. By joining Culver’s of Viera, team members become part of a family-oriented company culture that focuses not only on high-quality food but also on creating memorable customer experiences and staff satisfaction.
