Job Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for the entire shift
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, lift, stir, pour, carry, and push
- Ability to read orders, menu boards, and receipts
- Frequent contact with water, cleaning solutions, and food products
- Frequent hand washing
- Availability to attend mandatory training sessions and meetings
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must notify management in advance if unable to report to work
- Completion of station certifications and assessments
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in food service or customer service roles is an advantage but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers

Job Duties
- Protects and promotes the Whataburger brand at all times
- Notifies management with sufficient lead time when unable to report to work
- Checks with management before leaving the restaurant at scheduled time
- Recognizes and communicates customer service problems to the manager
- Attends all required meetings and training sessions
- Demonstrates Whataburger's family value proposition of pride, care, and love
- Learns and adheres to company policies and guidelines
- Ensures all products are prepared according to quality standards and delivered within service time standards
- Supports food production through preparation and stocking as directed
- Performs maintenance tasks as scheduled or assigned
- Participates in sales promotions and marketing events
- Operates designated food production or customer service stations
- Maintains proper storage and handling of food and supplies using FIFO procedures
- Cleans customer service and dining areas including restrooms and exterior landscaping
- Disposes of trash properly
- Answers phone in a courteous manner according to company procedure
- Demonstrates fiscal responsibility and follows cash handling policies
- Lifts up to 50 lbs and maintains the ability to stand for entire shift
- Demonstrates teamwork and supports organizational goals
- Achieves certification in station tasks and sanitation procedures
