The role of Poolside Server Assistant at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, is a dynamic position focused on enhancing the guest experience around the resort’s pool areas. This role requires supporting the Poolside Server by delivering food and beverage orders directly to guests who are lounging or enjoying the poolside setting, often in environments that include sand and water. The Poolside Server Assistant is responsible for maintaining high standards of hospitality, anticipating guest needs, and facilitating smooth and efficient service. The position demands excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
The work environment is fast-paced and requires flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude as the assistant navigates various outdoor terrains and weather conditions. Candidates should be comfortable handling cash, verifying identification for alcohol service, and employing swift and accurate service techniques to meet guest expectations. Working closely with other Cast Members, the Poolside Server Assistant helps ensure that guests receive timely attention and an immersive, memorable resort experience.
This position is full-time with a pay rate of $29.15 per hour, and full availability seven days a week is required including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Willing to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and around nature
- Must meet state requirements to obtain Hawaii Liquor Commission card
- Will verify IDs when vending and serving alcohol
- Must be comfortable cash handling
- Will work around water
- Possess excellent hospitality skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced environment
- Excellent memorization skills
- Speed, accuracy and efficiency are required
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to own and resolve guest situations
- Self-directed can complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Willing to follow instructions and take direction
- Flexible and adaptable
- Supportive of other cast working on your team
- Can complete repetitious tasks while maintaining quality
- Strong verbal communication skills
- An understanding of the pivot system seating and order-taking method
Job Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 years
