Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience or training
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to maintain a friendly and professional demeanor under stress
- Must obtain valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire
- Must possess RBS certification
- Physical ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Compliance with California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
Job Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training
- A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement
- Previous similar position in a hotel or similar business entity preferred
- Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required
- Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges
- Must be able to attain a valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire
- RBS certification required
- Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs
- The position will be filled in accordance with California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
Job Duties
- Cordially and professionally presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service
- Employs suggestive selling techniques to stimulate sales
- Follows cash and credit card handling policies at all times
- Follows restaurant's table setting procedures including glassware, silverware, portions, and drinking garnishes
- Is responsible for completion of their assigned opening and closing procedures
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures related to personal appearance, uniform standards, personal conduct, and guest relations
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team
