Reporting directly to the Director of Spa + Retail, the Pool Concierge acts as an ambassador of the club’s hospitality, focusing on member engagement, satisfaction, and seamless service delivery. This multifaceted role blends elements of upscale hospitality, light retail sales, and guest experience management, making it an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service and luxury environments. Candidates must be polished, outgoing, and hospitality-driven professionals who take pride in creating memorable experiences.\n\nAs a Pool Concierge, the successful candidate will be responsible for proactively interacting with members and guests, anticipating their needs, and ensuring that their experience at the pool area is enjoyable and memorable. This includes maintaining cleanliness and organization of the poolside environment, restocking inventory, setting up retail areas according to established procedures, and promoting spa and retail products with knowledge and enthusiasm. The role requires developing a thorough understanding of all spa services and retail products to help promote marketing initiatives and support special events. Teamwork is essential, as the Pool Concierge must maintain positive working relationships with Facilities and Food + Drink employees, as well as collaborate directly with Spa + Retail Management to align efforts around member-centric offerings.\n\nIn addition to member engagement and retail responsibilities, the Pool Concierge enforces club rules and policies to ensure a safe and professional environment. This includes monitoring the pool and surrounding areas, reporting any suspicious activity, and assisting with towel and water station services. The Concierge must manage music levels to maintain the appropriate ambiance and oversee the opening and closing of the concierge station. Flexibility is critical, as the role may require working special events and adapting to varying schedules based on weather and club needs. The position demands excellent communication skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, strong organizational ability, and the capability to multitask effectively. A commitment to upholding the club’s standards and policies, along with an understanding of hospitality best practices, is essential for success in this role.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of customer service experience is necessary
- 18 years or older
- Prefer resort or country club experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Hospitality driven
- Ability to feature sell
- Computer literate
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in summer heat
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and focus on details

- Experience with Point-of-Sale systems
- Valid State ID or driver’s license and/or reliable transportation to work
- Regular and predictable attendance especially on weekends
- Ability to work special events, promotions and other demands of the position including early morning, late evenings and weekend hours
- Ability to stand, sit and move throughout the pool facility several times during shift
- Ability to move 20 pounds on a regular basis

Job Duties
- Proactively interacts with all members and/or guests courteously and efficiently
- Ensure that all members and/or guests have what they need to enjoy their experience, and that their area is cleaned and restored upon arrival & departure
- Create a welcoming atmosphere
- Restocks inventory items
- Set up of retail space per SOP
- Promotes retail and sales through engagement with members, giving suggestions and providing knowledge on all products
- Develops and maintains a working knowledge of all spa services and product offerings - able to communicate and assist in bringing awareness to any marketing / promotional activities for The Spa
- Works directly with the Spa + Retail Management team on what items to promote and offer to members based around events
- Learns member preferences and uses them throughout their visit to tailor their experience
- Ensures all music levels are at the designated level
- Opens / closes the concierge station
- Assists with towel service
- Assists with water stations making sure they are stocked with cups, etc.
- Periodically passes out amenities or promotional products
- Has good knowledge of the overall Club and all fitness and wellness offerings
- Adheres to all POS policies & procedures
- Reports any suspicious activity immediately to MOD
- Assists with implementation of Club rules and regulations to ensure a safe and professional environment for all members and/or guests & employees
- May at times be asked to support special events within Club
- Maintains clean, organized and visually appealing areas in and around pool areas and all food + drink outlets
- Moves throughout the shift with purpose
- Complies with Club's employee handbook manual, departmental policies and procedures and with all applicable federal and state employment laws
- All other duties as assigned
