This job opening is for the position of Pool Attendant, a pivotal role responsible for shaping the outdoor guest experience at The Camby. The Pool Attendant acts as the face of poolside hospitality, providing high-energy service in a fast-paced and sunny environment. This hybrid role combines elements of serving and bartending, requiring skill in managing poolside loungers and cabanas while preparing and serving cocktails with precision and speed. The Pool Attendant ensures the pool environment maintains a premium resort atmosphere by adhering to strict safety and service standards.

The position is seasonal and full-time, operating Thursday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with an attractive opportunity to transition into a permanent, year-round role within The Camby’s food and beverage team after the season. This role demands attentiveness to guest needs, the ability to multitask under outdoor conditions, and the delivery of consistent, professional service that enhances the overall guest experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food and beverage service worker permit where applicable
  • Six months to one year of serving experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Read, write and speak English fluently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction

Job Qualifications

  • Food and beverage service worker permit where applicable
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months to one year of serving experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Fluency in English reading, writing, and speaking

Job Duties

  • Greet guests at poolside loungers and cabanas with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Take food and drink orders actively while maintaining an upbeat demeanor
  • Prepare cocktails and beverages accurately according to hotel recipes
  • Complete outdoor-specific side work including restocking bar supplies and clearing glassware
  • Ensure a clean and safe pool environment at all times
  • Process guest payments accurately while safeguarding confidential information
  • Monitor the pool area proactively to anticipate and fulfill guest needs
