Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • at least six (6) months related experience in hospitality or service industry
  • ability to communicate effectively in the primary workplace language
  • age verification capability for alcohol service
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • college degree preferred
  • six (6) months related experience in hospitality or service industry
  • must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace

Job Duties

  • Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
  • mix ingredients to prepare and garnish cocktails and other beverages according to Bunkhouse standards
  • serve snacks or food items to customers as requested or submit order to Kitchen
  • clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
  • arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive display
  • help plan and organize the menu and operations of the Cocktail Lounge or Bar
  • ensure immediate response is given to any and all guest comments and concerns and inform immediate supervisor of concerns and assist implementing corrective measure when necessary
  • collect money for all orders taken
  • check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
  • balance cash receipts
  • attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers’ excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons
  • order or requisition liquors and supplies
  • ask customers who become loud and unruly to leave
  • maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area
