Job Description

Trilogy at The Vineyards: Club Los Meganos is nestled in the picturesque Trilogy community located in the East Bay area of Brentwood, California. This establishment offers a luxurious resort experience combining stunning architecture and interior design with breathtaking mountain vistas and innovative programming geared towards providing a memorable and enjoyable stay for its members and guests. The club is home to a fully equipped Sawa Spa, offering rejuvenating services, and Abby's Gourmet Studio, where guests can enjoy fine dining. Additionally, the club boasts fitness and sports courts and a beautiful vineyard setting ideal for hosting weddings and special events. The calm and upscale atmosphere of Club Los Meganos paired with its extensive amenities create a unique environment where guests can relax, socialize, and indulge in premium services and recreational activities.

This position is for a Pool Bartender who plays a crucial role in enhancing the members' and guests' experience by providing exceptional food and beverage service specifically around the outdoor pool area. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Pool Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages and food either at the pool bar, restaurant, or patio, while ensuring strict adherence to safety policies and maintaining a welcoming environment. Compensation for this part-time role starts at $16.90 per hour plus tips. New hourly full-time team members working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including company medical, dental, and life insurance after 60 days of full-time employment. They also accrue paid time off and enjoy seven paid holidays annually. Part-time team members benefit from paid sick leave in accordance with state guidelines and may participate in the company’s 401(k) retirement plan after 30 days of employment.

The Pool Bartender is expected to execute their duties with a customer-focused attitude, demonstrating extensive knowledge of the resort’s facilities and services to assist guests and enhance their overall experience. This role requires a proactive approach in maintaining superior food and beverage standards and ensuring all safety and hospitality policies are observed. The Pool Bartender is tasked with mixing drinks, serving wine and beer, checking identifications to comply with legal alcohol-serving age restrictions, handling cash and card transactions with accuracy, maintaining cleanliness of the bar area, and supporting all food and beverage functions including corporate parties and weddings. They also participate in culinary education to stay updated on industry standards.

Job Requirements

  • Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS Certification

  • Must be able to pay attention to details and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to speak effectively and present information to another person and in small group situations
  • Ability to provide direction to coworkers in a professional and friendly manner
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memorandums
  • This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Create a welcoming atmosphere and provide excellent hospitality by having a working knowledge of the resort facility and dining area and be able to respond to guest questions and speak with enthusiasm about other resort services
  • Take a proactive approach to ensure a consistent set of superior standards of food service and quality are meeting or exceeding employee and guest expectations
  • Greet and serve guests in an energetic and friendly fashion
  • listen to determine beverage preferences and make drink recommendations
  • Check identification to assure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol
  • Notice and report potential safety issues or customer concerns to a supervisor
  • Meet with staff at all levels to develop a common vision, discuss current needs, and plan for future Food and Beverage functions
  • Respond to incoming food and beverage phone calls
  • Mix drinks and serve wine and beer
  • take food and beverage orders from guests and/or waiters and waitresses
  • prepare to-go orders
  • replenish bar snacks
  • Handle cash and card transactions, ensure charges are accurate and return correct change to guests
  • balance the cash register
  • Take inventory and order liquors and supplies while maintaining quality within proper price points and facility budget
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • remove trash, wash all glasses and equipment, and clean the bar area according to quality and safety procedures
  • Oversee and assist in all Food and Beverage functions i.e. corporate parties, weddings
  • Prepare beverages, supplies, and other bar setups for banquets and other functions
  • Attend culinary exhibitions and educational seminars to stay current regarding developments in the Food and Beverage industry, as requested
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned
