The Scott Resort & Spa is currently seeking a Pool Bartender to join its dynamic team. This exciting role involves working at one of the most beautiful and lively resort pools in the valley, providing guests with specialty drinks and food service in an engaging, friendly, and professional manner. The position is part-time, requiring weekend availability to accommodate the resort’s peak operating periods. Emphasizing a warm connection with guests, the Pool Bartender will be responsible not only for crafting delicious beverages but also for enhancing the overall guest experience through attentive service and genuine hospitality.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the vibrant atmosphere at the poolside bar, ensuring all supplies are well-stocked, and adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. As part of the service team, the Pool Bartender will input orders using a point-of-sale system, manage cash responsibly, and comply with all resort and regulatory standards related to food and beverage service. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Maricopa County Food Handler's Certificate (ANSI)
  • Arizona Title IV Alcohol Certification
  • Weekend availability required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Professional appearance consistent with a four-diamond resort
  • Ability to manage cash responsibly
  • Food and beverage experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Set up work area, prep/set up beverage and food items, restock inventory items as needed
  • Maintain supply of products throughout shift
  • Greet all guests in friendly and courteous manner, enthusiastically describe available selections, prepare and serve orders
  • Input orders into POS
  • Present check to guest promptly, thank them and invite them to return
  • Perform checkout procedures and complete paperwork
  • Perform general cleaning tasks
  • Maintain inventory levels in storage area
  • Report equipment or guest challenges to supervisor
  • Assist guests with questions
  • Other tasks as assigned
