Job Description

Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, widely known for its commitment to excellence, diversity, and career development. Within the Marriott portfolio lies Gaylord Hotels, a distinctive brand celebrated for providing extraordinary environments, services, and programming designed to bring people together in memorable ways. Rooted in expert management and a deep passion for creating exceptional guest experiences, Gaylord Hotels offers an enriching workplace where creativity, entrepreneurship, and compassionate service are highly valued. This is the ideal place for professionals looking to grow within a dynamic and inclusive culture that emphasizes equal opportunity and mutual respect.

The role of Bartender at Gaylord Hotels involves preparing drink orders accurately according to specified recipes, ensuring guests receive the highest quality beverages served with genuine appreciation. Beyond mixology skills, bartenders play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the bar area, including tasks such as issuing wine and champagne bottles, setting up the bar station, preparing fresh garnishes, stocking supplies including ice and glassware, and washing soiled glassware. Emphasis is placed on communication and teamwork to anticipate and address replenishment needs and guest service requirements.

Bartenders are expected to handle all payment methods, complete cashier reports, and reconcile the cash bank at the end of shifts while securely managing receipts and inventory. They adhere strictly to Marriott's safety and security policies, promptly report any accidents or unsafe conditions, and complete necessary safety training and certifications. Maintaining a professional and clean uniform, protecting company assets, and respecting confidentiality are paramount responsibilities.

In addition to operational tasks, the bartender position requires excellent interpersonal skills to welcome guests warmly, anticipate their needs, and establish positive relationships. Effective communication and teamwork with fellow staff members are crucial to achieving common goals and ensuring seamless service delivery. Job duties also include physical aspects such as standing for extended periods, maneuvering in tight spaces, lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds safely, and negotiating uneven or slippery surfaces.

This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals with at least one year of related work experience, aiming to refine their hospitality skills in a supportive environment with endless career opportunities. While supervisory experience is not required, candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be eager to contribute to a fast-paced team dedicated to quality and guest satisfaction. Gaylord Hotels and Marriott International foster a culture where diversity is embraced, and employees are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work, promoting a rich blend of culture, talent, and experiences. Joining this team means embarking on a rewarding career path with one of the most prestigious hotel brands in the world, where you can be your best, begin your purpose, belong to a vibrant community, and become the best version of yourself.
