Job Description

Sage Hospitality Group is a distinguished leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to excellence and passion for enriching the lives of guests and employees alike. As a dynamic and innovative company, Sage Hospitality Group operates a diverse portfolio of hotels, restaurants, and resorts across various locations, including the highly acclaimed Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa. The group prides itself on its employee-centric culture, empowering team members to create memorable experiences while fostering personal and professional growth. Employing a genuine service-driven philosophy, Sage Hospitality Group builds strong relationships with its guests and communities, striving to set industry standards through creativity, dedication, and leadership. This company values independent thinkers who bring entrepreneurial spirit and creativity to their roles, breaking preconceived notions and pioneering new paths in the hospitality sector. They believe success is not just about the work an individual performs but also about who they are as people, investing heavily in their workforce to cultivate both career development and meaningful community impact.

The Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa, part of this esteemed hospitality group, offers a unique Northern California experience. Nestled in the heart of the renowned Napa Valley, the hotel features comfortable rooms and suites, garden spaces, a luxurious resort-style pool with a splash bar, and vibrant dining options including Little Summer, where guests enjoy local ingredients paired with fine wines, and South Yard, which offers craft beers, burgers, and yard games. The hotel provides a laid-back yet refined atmosphere, perfect for guests visiting for business or leisure. Its courtyard, complete with glowing fire pits and lush landscaping, creates an inviting ambiance for guests to relax and savor the Napa Valley spirit. Conveniently located near top wineries such as Robert Mondavi Winery and Castello Di Amorosa, as well as downtown Napa's dining and shopping areas, the property is ideal for visitors seeking both tranquility and entertainment.

The hotel also boasts an expansive conference center with over 22,000 square feet of elegant indoor meeting rooms and outdoor event venues, making it a premier location for weddings and corporate events under majestic Redwood trees. As a Pool Bartender at the Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the guest experience in this luxurious resort environment. This seasonal position entails setting up the bar, expertly mixing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring adherence to all company standards and safety regulations. You will be a key ambassador for the hotel’s hospitality, delivering top-tier service that enhances guest satisfaction and supports profitability.

The role demands a courteous and professional demeanor, strong multitasking abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced setting. As part of the team, you will handle guest interactions with a warm and efficient approach, process transactions accurately, manage inventory supplies and controls, and comply with all state liquor laws. This position requires physical stamina, as it involves prolonged standing, lifting moderate weights, and navigating busy and sometimes crowded spaces. Attentiveness, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate clearly in English are essential to ensuring a seamless bar operation.

Compensation for this role is competitive, offering an hourly rate of USD 16.90. The employment is seasonal, providing an excellent opportunity for those seeking flexible work arrangements within a prestigious hotel environment. Joining Sage Hospitality Group means becoming part of a team that values innovation, encourages individual contributions, and champions community engagement. If you share a passion for hospitality and exceptional guest service, this position provides a rewarding pathway to grow your career in an inspiring setting where Napa Valley’s unique culture and scenery blend effortlessly with professional hospitality excellence.
