Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 18 years of age

Job Duties

  • Take food and beverage orders
  • retrieve and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food
  • collect payments
  • assist in maintaining restaurant area and equipment
  • possess complete knowledge of table and station numbers
  • know liquor brands and correct glassware
  • understand wine and champagne characteristics
  • know menu items including prices and preparation
  • maintain and use equipment properly
  • comply with departmental policies and procedures
  • perform opening duties including checking stock and folding napkins
  • set tables and prepare service carts
  • organize station and review reservations
  • take guest orders using suggestive selling
  • input and verify orders
  • serve food and beverages following standards
  • anticipate and respond to guest needs
  • maintain guest relations
  • handle guest complaints
  • maintain cleanliness and organization
  • guide bus person activities
  • clear courses and tables properly
  • present dessert and cordial carts
  • offer cigar service
  • process payments and adhere to cash handling policies
  • express appreciation to guests
  • perform closing duties including restocking and cleaning
  • complete closing reports
  • attend department meetings
  • follow maintenance and cleaning schedules
  • update menus and wine lists
  • document maintenance needs
  • attend menu and wine tastings
