Job Description
Hai Hospitality and LORO, Asian Smokehouse + Bar, is an innovative and fast-growing multi-concept restaurant group headquartered in Austin, Texas. Known for its dedication to exceptional hospitality, culinary creativity, and a commitment to service excellence, Hai Hospitality operates renowned restaurant concepts such as Uchi, Uchiko, Uchiba, and Loro. This dynamic establishment prides itself on cultivating a workplace environment that celebrates diversity, creativity, and employee growth. The company’s mission is to create memorable dining experiences through the perfect blend of quality cuisine, welcoming service, and a vibrant atmosphere.
The open position for Server Assistants / Servers at Hai Hospitality and LORO represents a crucial role within the Front of House team. Server Assistants act as indispensable members who ensure the smooth operation of dining room service, expo line activities, and bar support. This role involves more than just delivering food; it encompasses assisting servers and bartenders in maintaining an efficient flow that enhances the overall guest experience. Those in this position will be deeply involved in the daily functions of setting and resetting tables, polishing glassware, stocking supplies, delivering curbside orders, and describing menu items knowledgeably to guests.
Hai Hospitality offers a flexible work schedule to accommodate both part-time and full-time availability, demonstrating their support for work-life balance. The role comes with a $500 sign-on bonus, dispensed in two installments: $250 after completing training and an additional $250 45 days post-training. Server Assistants typically earn approximately $500 per week in tips, reflecting the rewarding nature of this customer-facing position. One of the appealing aspects of this role is the strong potential for career advancement, with many team members moving into bartender roles that come with additional responsibilities and higher earning potential.
Joining the Hai Hospitality family means becoming part of a passionate, welcoming community that values employee well-being and continuous professional development. The company is proud to offer comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, vision, and accident insurance options, an Employee Assistance Program with mental health services, and an employer-matched 401k savings plan. Employees also enjoy dining discounts and work in an environment where internal promotion is standard practice, encouraging staff to grow their careers from within.
This position requires physical stamina and a proactive attitude to thrive in the energetic setting of a high-volume restaurant. Server Assistants must be able to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers and maintain a professional appearance while adhering to safety guidelines. They work closely with bartenders and servers to ensure customers feel valued and supported throughout their dining experience.
Hai Hospitality is committed to equal opportunity employment and strives to create an inclusive environment for employees from diverse backgrounds. The company also participates in E-Verify for locations in Arizona and Florida, affirming a commitment to lawful employment practices. By joining Hai Hospitality and LORO, candidates are invited to embark on a career journey that offers both personal gratification and professional development in an exciting and supportive culinary community.
