Job Requirements

  • minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • passion for food and beverage service
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • adaptable and willing to meet the demands of a full-time operation
  • post-secondary diploma or degree is a plus
  • hotel operational experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • possess a comprehensive understanding of all menus including menu structure ingredients origins suppliers seasonality flavor profiles allergy considerations preparation methods and presentation styles
  • demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the cocktail program
  • have a thorough understanding of the wines-by-the-glass program as well as a strong grasp of the beer and non-alcoholic beverage offerings
  • maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies service procedures and standards
  • review the daily prep list each shift to ensure all items are complete and sufficient product is available
  • ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment using each item only as intended
  • anticipate guest needs respond promptly and provide exceptional service at all times regardless of the time of day or how busy the restaurant is
  • attend employee meetings contribute suggestions for improvement and maintain positive relations with coworkers and guests
  • handle store and rotate all products correctly ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
  • strictly abide by state sanitation and health regulations as well as company standards to maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • promptly report any equipment or food quality issues to the management team
  • follow all prep work instructions as specified by the manager or supervisor ensuring consistency and quality in every task
