This position requires a dedicated individual passionate about food preparation who can meet the exacting standards set forth by the Executive Chef. The Cook is responsible for producing and plating dishes that comply with the hotel’s culinary guidelines to ensure consistency and quality. This includes preparing ingredients through slicing, cutting, shredding, and tenderizing, as well as cooking techniques such as braising, sautéing, and grilling. Attention to food safety and hygiene is critical, including preventing cross-contamination and ensuring all ingredients are fresh and safe for consumption. The Cook will also work closely with wait staff to coordinate the timely completion of orders and maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked workstation.

Communication skills are essential to liaise effectively with team members and management. Physically, the role involves extensive standing, walking, and handling of kitchen tools and ingredients, along with adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must hold a current food handlers' card as well as TABC certification and demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities. A minimum of one year of related experience or culinary education is preferred, along with a commitment to producing high-quality culinary outputs while delivering excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity for continuous professional development within a supportive, award-winning company that values employee contributions and well-being.
