We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our culinary team. This role is integral to the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, where precision, efficiency, and creativity meet to ensure the highest standards of food quality. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing menu items according to established recipes and yield guides, ensuring consistency and excellence with every dish served. Collaborating closely with the Sous Chef and Station Cook I, the Line Cook will review daily assignments and anticipated business levels to prioritize and adjust workflows accordingly. The role involves preparing ingredients and starting prep work for the day's menu, assisting other line cooks during the shift to maintain smooth kitchen operations.

The successful candidate will be adept at setting up and breaking down workstations, organizing all necessary mise en place, tools, equipment, and supplies to ensure an efficient cooking process. Maintaining cleanliness and adhering to stringent food storage and handling guidelines is paramount, both to meet health department standards and hotel policies. This position demands a proactive individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment. Flexibility to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays is essential to meet business needs.

Job Requirements

  • 3 years experience as a line cook at a hotel/resort or restaurant
  • Ability to work all stations on the line
  • Food handling certification required
  • High work ethic and self-initiative
  • Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Enjoy working as and being part of a team that provides great experiences for our guests

Job Qualifications

  • 3 years experience as a line cook at a hotel/resort or restaurant

Job Duties

  • Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides
  • Meet with Sous Chef/Station Cook I to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes and other information pertinent to the job performance
  • Start prep work on items needed for the particular menu of the day and assist Line Cooks on same throughout the shift
  • Set up work station with required mis en place, tools, equipment and supplies
  • Breakdown work stations and complete closing duties at the end of last shift of the day
  • Maintain proper storage procedures as specified by Health Department and hotel requirements
  • Follow food handling guidelines
