Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the food industry
  • ability to cook proteins to specified temperatures
  • capability to direct banquet cooking for up to 100 guests with small team support
  • valid State Food Handler's License
  • ability to read and understand simple instructions and short correspondence
  • effective presentation skills for communication with staff
  • working knowledge of sauces and butchering
  • familiarity with specialized kitchen equipment
  • strong knife handling skills
  • ability to adjust food preparation according to flavor and customer needs

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience
  • ability to cook proteins to pre-determined temperatures
  • ability to cook and direct banquet service for up to 100 guests with a small team
  • possession of State Food Handler's License
  • ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings
  • working knowledge of mother and minor sauces
  • working knowledge of proper butchering techniques
  • proficiency with specialized kitchen equipment including slicers, Robo-coup, Hobart, and convection ovens
  • strong knife skills
  • ability to adjust food preparations for flavor and customer preferences

Job Duties

  • Prepare new menu items and daily kitchen preparations
  • provide guidance and supervision to line cooks during service
  • conduct inventory management
  • maintain sanitary and well-maintained food preparation areas
  • ensure safe food handling practices
  • perform opening and closing kitchen procedures
  • accommodate customer needs promptly and professionally
