The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing menu items according to specific recipes, setting up and stocking stations, and assisting executive and sous chefs in their daily tasks. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent cooking skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. Job Requirements
- Must have 1+ year high-volume restaurant experience
- must have food handlers certification
- excellent communication skills
- availability to work weekends and some holidays
- able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 25 pounds, and continuously bend, reach, and twist
- must be reliable and dependable
Job Qualifications
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- hospitality-related kitchen experience preferred
- must have food handlers certification
- excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- familiarity with the industry's best practices
- attention to detail
- accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

Job Duties
- Strong knife skills and a range of cooking methods
- prepare food from scratch by following our recipes to produce consistent results
- must be able to prepare all menu items
- set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef's instructions
- clean up the station and take care of leftover food
- stock inventory appropriately
- ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
