Job Description
Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a leading family-owned company that specializes in providing resort-style living environments for seniors across more than 60 communities nationwide. The company prides itself on a commitment to core values such as respect, honesty, kindness, compassion, and service excellence, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere for both employees and residents. RLC focuses on achieving key goals that drive its success, including maintaining happy employees, ensuring happy residents, achieving full occupancy, and operating within budget. This mission-driven organization values the importance of serving seniors with genuine care and a servant-hearted approach, which makes it not just a job but a meaningful calling for their team members.
Joining RLC means becoming part of a close-knit community that prioritizes quality and compassion in servicing its residents. RLC is committed to fostering a work environment where employees feel appreciated, valued, and empowered to make a positive impact every day. The company offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including access to pay anytime, a benefit stipend toward health and wellness programs, paid time off, and retirement savings plans with employer matching. These offerings reflect RLC's dedication to supporting the well-being and professional growth of its staff.
The role of PM Kitchen Helper at RLC is a vital component in creating an excellent dining experience for residents. This position primarily involves preparing, stocking, and maintaining a fresh and appealing salad bar for lunch and dinner services, supporting residents in the dining area with friendly and attentive service, and maintaining clean tables. Additionally, the PM Kitchen Helper plays a crucial role in ensuring community safety by thoroughly washing and sanitizing tableware, cookware, and kitchen equipment according to safety standards. This role requires working a consistent schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and mandates compliance with food safety regulations, including obtaining necessary food handler permits within the first two weeks of employment.
While no previous culinary experience is required, the ideal candidate must be capable of performing a range of support tasks such as operating dish machines, monitoring sanitization processes, maintaining cleanliness in food preparation areas, and assisting with table setup and room service deliveries. The role demands attention to detail, respect in handling kitchenware, the ability to respond politely and effectively to residents’ feedback, and a readiness to support the dining operation efficiently and safely. Candidates who join RLC in this capacity will find a purpose-driven position where their service makes a direct difference in the quality of life for senior residents, all within a beautiful, resort-style community with supportive leadership and a collaborative work culture.
