The role of a 2nd Shift Cook at Medical City Plano is a critical part of the Food and Nutrition Services department. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years experience in a similar cook role
  • Ability to work 2nd shift from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Adherence to hospital safety and hygiene policies

Job Qualifications

  • Two years experience in food preparation or related field
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Prepares both cold and hot menu items according to standard recipes for patients, employees, cafeteria customers, physicians, community agencies and catering events
  • Maintains equipment in kitchen to standard
  • Assist in storage of deliveries
  • Maintains kitchen area to state required sanitary standards
  • Completes all task on duty while adhering to safety standards and policies of the hospital
  • Performs other duties as assigned
