Job Description
Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a fast-growing, family-owned company that proudly operates over 60 communities nationwide, specializing in providing high-quality living experiences for seniors. The company emphasizes a close-knit, servant-hearted culture rooted deeply in its core values: Respect, Honesty, Kindness & Compassion, and Service Excellence. These values not only guide daily interactions but also help foster a supportive and warm environment for residents, employees, and guests alike. At RLC, the mission goes beyond traditional job roles as every team member is encouraged to embrace their work as a calling, making a meaningful difference in the lives of the senior community they serve.
RLC is committed to four essential goals that frame its operational success: ensuring happy employees, providing happy residents, maintaining full occupancy of their communities, and managing on-budget operations effectively. This commitment creates a stable, compassionate atmosphere where residents feel valued and cared for, while employees thrive in their career paths supported by strong leadership and a shared sense of purpose.
The role of PM Cook at Resort Lifestyle Communities is an integral position that contributes directly to the residents' quality of life through exceptional dining experiences. The PM Cook responsibilities focus on preparing and serving a variety of lunch and dinner entrées and sides in a scratch-based kitchen. This is not simply a cooking position but a vital role that combines culinary skills with exemplary service to ensure that each plate is not only delicious and visually appealing but also tailored to resident preferences in portioning and presentation. Interaction with residents, guests, and team members is a key aspect of the job, fostering an inviting and friendly dining environment through cafeteria-style plate serving.
Candidates for this role must be ready to work a consistent schedule from Thursday through Monday, preferably before lunch through dinner, with additional flexibility to support AM shifts as required. The ability to communicate in basic English, read, and comprehend instructions is essential to performing daily tasks efficiently. While prior experience in kitchen preparation and cooking is preferred, those ready to learn and grow in this field will find a welcoming space here. Additionally, securing necessary food handler permits soon after employment is mandatory to comply with local ordinances.
The PM Cook at RLC is expected to uphold high standards of food preparation including broiling, grilling, frying, and sautéing various proteins and vegetables. Maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen organization are equally prioritized through diligent completion of opening and closing duties, regular sanitation practices, and monitoring refrigeration. The company embraces continuous improvement, encouraging feedback and contributions during team meetings to elevate service standards further.
This full-time hourly position offers competitive compensation ranging from $17.50 to $19.50 per hour, and a comprehensive benefits package that enhances the overall employee experience. Benefits include access to pay anytime, a $341 benefit stipend per pay period allowing employees to invest in health, dental, vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, and more. Paid time off and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match are also part of the attractive rewards provided to support work-life balance and financial security.
Resort Lifestyle Communities offers more than a job; it invites candidates to join a mission-driven organization where they can grow professionally and personally while making a positive impact on senior citizens’ lives in a resort-style environment. The company’s supportive leadership, clear values, and goals create a workplace atmosphere that truly feels like family. If you are ready to cook with heart and work in a role that has great purpose, RLC welcomes you to apply today.
