Vi's Palo Alto location, situated at 620 Sand Hill Road, is seeking a part-time Concierge to join their accomplished resident services team. This role is vital in delivering front-line support and ensuring a seamless, positive experience for all residents and guests. The Concierge position offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with residents, addressing their questions and needs while maintaining the safety and smooth operation of community services. This position is scheduled from 3 PM to 11:30 PM, from Saturday through Monday, providing a manageable shift pattern that supports work-life balance.

This role goes beyond traditional customer service; it demands excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a calm, responsible demeanor in emergency situations. The Concierge will be tasked with monitoring emergency systems, managing incoming calls, and acting as the initial point of contact for residents, making this position critical to community satisfaction and safety. Candidates with prior customer service experience and current CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred, highlighting the company's commitment to safety and quality care.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in customer service preferred
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to become certified
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to remain calm and act responsibly in emergency situations
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work the specified shifts from 3 PM to 11:30 PM Saturday through Monday

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a customer service environment preferred
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications required or willingness to obtain
  • Excellent oral communication skills including a clear speaking voice
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to deal with stress effectively
  • Ability to use a resident and customer-focused approach to problem solving

Job Duties

  • Welcome and direct all residents and guests of the community
