Job Requirements

  • Able to count and perform basic math
  • Able to read and comprehend department materials and load sheets
  • Capable of lifting or maneuvering up to 50 pounds
  • Able to stand for long periods
  • Able to reach approximately 7 feet high to move product
  • Physically capable of moving to all areas of the plant
  • Able to view products and determine adherence to quality control standards
  • Able to read, comprehend, and practice necessary safety procedures and signs
  • Performance of other duties deemed by management to be an integral part of the job

Job Duties

  • Move product stacks or racks from packaging lines to the appropriate trailer or staging area
  • Organize product staging areas and lanes to facilitate efficient loading
  • Load products from the staging area to trailers, ensuring proper stacking and preventing shipment of damaged goods
  • Remove out-of-code products, check date and price codes regularly and label accordingly
  • Keep floor areas, including Bond St. Platform, private label dock, D-Center loading area, and empty tray area, clean and organized
  • Serve as a break person for other shipping employees on various lines and/or platforms
  • Work on the platform, including unloading inbound purchased products
  • Complete paperwork like load sheets and block sheets with accuracy and neatness
  • Perform trailer checks including sweeping and checking for damage, submitting information to the department manager
  • Inform supervisors in advance of the floor inventory of empty trays and other equipment
  • Communicate with packaging employees to ensure accurate product counts on each truck, reconciling trailer paperwork to packaging wrap sheets
