Job Description

Stericycle is now part of WM, a testament to the dynamic growth and integration of two industry leaders dedicated to environmental health and safety. Stericycle has established itself as a premier U.S.-based business-to-business services company specializing in compliance-based solutions that protect people and brands, foster health and well-being, and safeguard the environment. Over the past 30 years, what began as a modest start-up focused on medical waste management has expanded into a comprehensive leader across multiple regulated sectors, serving a diverse clientele ranging from healthcare organizations to commercial enterprises of all sizes. This growth underscores the company's commitment to responsible and sustainable management of materials that could otherwise pose serious health or environmental risks, such as infectious waste or materials that could compromise identity security. Joining Stericycle means becoming part of a mission-driven team focused on protecting health and well-being through safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible practices.

The 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate position offers a critical operational role within the plant environment, supporting key processes that ensure the efficient handling and processing of waste materials. Working Monday through Friday, with additional Saturday shifts as needed, from 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. or until tasks are complete, this position provides an hourly wage of $17.92 plus overtime opportunities. This employment type typically suits individuals who thrive in hands-on roles within a facility setting, particularly those motivated to contribute to workplace safety and environmental stewardship.

As a Plant Associate, you will be responsible for unloading waste from incoming vehicles, sorting non-autoclavable waste for incineration, and staging waste accurately on conveyors or appropriate areas for scanning into the Biotrack system—a crucial step for compliant recordkeeping. Furthermore, you will operate and maintain various cleaning and decontamination equipment, including tub wash units and tub wash sprayers, ensuring reusable containers are clean, inspected, and loaded properly for further use. The role requires keen attention to detail and adherence to stringent safety and cleanliness protocols.

Decontaminating vehicle cargo areas and ensuring these zones are free of liquid and debris is also a vital responsibility, contributing to a safe and orderly environment. The Plant Associate will collaborate closely with supervisors to maintain smooth operational flow and address housekeeping issues promptly. This role demands a commitment to safety and quality, as well as flexibility to adapt to other assigned duties as needed.

Stericycle’s commitment to its workforce is reflected in the comprehensive benefits offered to employees, including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, flexible spending accounts, life and accidental death insurance, an employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation and sick time, 401(k) plans, and employee stock purchase options. These benefits reinforce the company’s dedication to supporting its employees' well-being both inside and outside the workplace.

Overall, if you have a high school education or equivalent, are willing to work in a physically active warehouse setting, and hold or are willing to obtain forklift certification, this role is an excellent opportunity to grow with a renowned company committed to health, safety, and environmental protection. Experience in a plant environment and a valid driver’s license are advantageous but not mandatory. Stericycle values equal employment opportunity and fosters an inclusive workplace free from discrimination. Join a company that not only values your work but also offers you growth, stability, and a chance to make a meaningful impact on public health and safety.
