The Club Manager role at Taymax Group is a pivotal leadership position focused on overseeing gym operations to ensure an exceptional member experience and financial success of the club. The manager is responsible for cultivating a positive, motivating environment among a team that includes Assistant Managers, Member Service Representatives, Trainers, and Custodians. This role involves extensive employee training and development to foster a high-performing and customer-focused staff. Key responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training, and scheduling staff to maintain optimal club operations and ensuring adherence to superior customer service standards.
The Club Manager also plays a hands-on role in front desk activities, greeting members and guests, answering inquiries, managing check-ins, guiding tours, and resolving member concerns promptly to uphold the welcoming environment Planet Fitness is known for. Facility cleanliness and maintenance are also significant facets of the role, guaranteeing safety and a hygienic space by overseeing cleaning tasks and coordinating timely repairs with the Facilities Maintenance team.
Additionally, the Club Manager leads marketing initiatives by training the staff on promotions and authorizing expenditures, refunds, and making daily bank deposits. This position holds responsibility for preparing HR documentation for Corporate HR and Payroll processing and tracking club-related performance reports on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. Flexibility is required as the role provides backup support for employees when needed and may entail other duties as assigned to meet the club’s operational demands.
This full-time employment opportunity offers a competitive wage range from $23.00 to $23.50 per hour and requires physical stamina including continual standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and various movements such as bending and crouching. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential to fulfill job responsibilities effectively.

Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One to three years of management experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and ability to learn systems quickly
- Strong leadership, team building and coaching skills
- Experience managing customer focused teams in fitness or similar industry
- Exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Enthusiastic and energetic management style
- Organization, problem solving and planning skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation

Job Duties
- Recruit, hire, train and develop a high performing staff including Assistant Managers, Member Service Representatives, Trainers and Custodians
