Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • passion for fitness and health
  • one to three years management experience preferred
  • proficiency with computers and software
  • strong leadership skills
  • customer service experience in fitness or similar industry
  • conflict resolution skills
  • energetic and hardworking approach
  • excellent organization and planning
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • valid driver’s license
  • reliable means of transportation
  • able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • able to bend, crouch and reach
  • standing and walking for extended periods
  • occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • one to three years of management experience preferred
  • computer proficiency including Microsoft Suite
  • strong leadership and coaching skills
  • experience managing customer-focused teams in fitness or related industry
  • exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills
  • hardworking and energetic management style
  • strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Job Duties

  • Recruit, hire, train and develop staff
  • create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere
  • schedule staff and ensure shift coverage
  • provide exceptional customer service
  • lead by example and maintain accountability
  • process employee payroll
  • resolve employee issues
  • manage disciplinary actions
  • greet members and provide support at front desk
  • answer phones and assist callers
  • check members into system and sign up new members
  • facilitate member requests and resolve issues
  • oversee cleanliness and maintenance of facility
  • ensure safety of employees and members
  • manage marketing efforts and staff training
  • authorize expenditures and refunds
  • make daily bank deposits
  • prepare HR forms and coordinate with corporate teams
  • track and report operational statistics
  • provide backup support for absent employees
  • perform additional duties as assigned
