The Club Manager role is a pivotal position responsible for the overall management and success of the gym located in Fontana, CA. This full-time position offers competitive pay ranging from $23.00 to $23.50 per hour. The Club Manager ensures all aspects of gym operations run smoothly, guaranteeing an excellent member experience within a welcoming and judgement-free environment. Accountability for both employee management and financial performance falls under this role, requiring leadership expertise and operational proficiency. The manager will lead a team including assistant managers, trainers, member service representatives, and custodians, providing continuous coaching and support to drive a motivated and high-performing staff.
Key responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training, and developing staff members who are dedicated to exceptional customer service and member satisfaction. The manager will maintain a friendly atmosphere for members and guests, ensuring staff adherence to customer service standards. Effective staff scheduling, payroll processing, and issue resolution are critical components of this role. The manager actively participates in front desk operations, greeting members, answering inquiries, and supporting membership processing. Facility cleanliness and maintenance oversight are essential, along with safety considerations and coordination with maintenance teams.
Additional duties include managing marketing efforts by ensuring staff are trained on current promotions, handling financial transactions such as authorizing expenditures and bank deposits, preparing HR documentation for corporate teams, tracking operational statistics, and providing backup support when staff absences occur. Physical demands of the job include continual standing, walking, talking, listening, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The role occasionally involves exposure to cleaning chemicals and requires a proactive approach to facility safety and cleanliness.
