With multiple locations in Chicago, Illinois, North Bethesda, Maryland, and growing, Summer House offers guests a relaxing, beach house ambiance where the feeling of summer never ends. The restaurant prides itself on a California-inspired menu crafted by Chef Ben Goodnick, which emphasizes simple, high-quality ingredients sourced from local growers and sustainable producers. The menu caters to a wide range of dietary preferences, with a heavy focus on vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, reflecting a commitment to diverse culinary choices and health-conscious dining. A unique feature of these restaurants is the all-day Rosé Cart, serving signature Summer House Rosé alongside an extensive selection of wines and handcrafted cocktails. Guests are also treated to an enticing display of freshly baked goods from the Bakery located at the front of each restaurant, featuring a variety of delectable treats including an impressive cookie selection.
Summer House operates under the Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises umbrella, a nationally recognized company renowned for its exceptional food, service, and workplace environment. Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, Pizzaiolos must adhere to prescribed recipes and accommodate special requests, ensuring every dish meets the quality and presentation standards set by the restaurant. Candidates must be flexible with work hours, including availability for weekends, and must be adept at using kitchen tools and equipment safely and effectively. Strong communication skills are necessary to follow directions accurately and collaborate seamlessly with other team members. This role requires the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy kitchen, withstanding the physical demands of the job, such as standing for long periods, lifting, and working in varied temperature conditions.
