The company is currently hiring for a full-time Pizza Retail Cook at its Prisma Health Greenville location, situated at 701 Grove Road, Greenville, SC 29605. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with variable hours and pays between $19.00 and $21.00 per hour. This role is perfect for individuals with previous restaurant experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for preparing quality food. As a Pizza Retail Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items in strict conformance with government regulations, company policies, and established recipes to ensure excellent food service.

The Pizza Retail Cook will contribute significantly to the health and satisfaction of patients and healthcare staff by ensuring meals are cooked, seasoned, and presented with the utmost care and professionalism. The role demands attention to detail and commitment to food safety protocols, including proper portion control, temperature maintenance, and adherence to HACCP standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, safely operating and maintaining kitchen equipment, and working collaboratively with other staff members to meet production and service schedules.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous restaurant experience preferred
  • Ability to work full time Monday through Friday with varying hours
  • Ability to comply with all food safety and operational procedures
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks required in kitchen environment
  • Commitment to safety protocols including use of protective gloves and equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Responsible for records from area worked during service periods
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
  • Ensures food and supply items are stored per standards
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required
  • Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required
  • Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
