Job Description

This counter-service restaurant is dedicated to providing gourmet breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals served quickly, generally within about five minutes. The role within this restaurant is crucial for maintaining the quality and efficiency that customers expect. Reporting directly to the Shift Leader and Division Leader, the person in this position is responsible for preparing meals in line with the restaurant's guidelines and procedures. This includes preparing pizza dough, sauces, and various toppings such as tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and meats, always monitoring cooking times and temperatures to maintain food quality. Attention to detail is vital, from following recipes accurately to ensuring all food orders are completed and presented promptly. Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen through proper sanitation, utensil sterilization, and workstation cleaning are central to the role. Additionally, this job involves managing inventory and coordinating with the Shift Leader to ensure supplies are replenished when necessary.

Further responsibilities include assisting with food preparation for subsequent shifts, collaborating with kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations, and communicating effectively about customer concerns or special requests. Employees in this role must wear the appropriate uniform and maintain personal cleanliness and safety standards. The ability to work well within a team, protect company assets, and maintain a presentable restaurant environment are all essential components of the job. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Follow company guidelines and procedures for preparing meals quickly and accurately
  • preparing pizza dough, sauces, and various toppings such as tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and meats
  • monitoring the temperature of the pizza ovens as well as cooking times
  • preparing high-quality pizzas according to company recipes
  • monitoring inventory and notify Shift Leader when orders for more supplies as needed
  • cleaning workstations before and after pizza preparation
  • ensuring that all utensils and cooking equipment are sterilized before each use
  • plating or packaging pizzas accordingly
  • managing all food order slips and ensuring that customers' orders are completed in a timely manner
  • prep food for use on next shift
  • assist with food preparation tasks as needed
  • collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
  • communicate effectively with Leader any customer concerns, complaints, product requests, etc
  • wear appropriate uniform, footwear, name tag and maintain cleanliness of the uniform
  • maintain a safe environment when dealing with any and all cooking utensils
  • sweep, mop, and organize coolers and other areas of the kitchen
  • maintain a clean, safe, organized and well-stocked restaurant to ensure restaurant is presentable
  • must be able to work as an integral part of a team, assisting and communicating effectively with co-workers
