The role of Pizza Maker at Wiseguy Pizza is an integral position within the kitchen team, responsible for preparing and assembling pizzas that meet the company’s high standards. This role requires attention to detail, a hands-on approach to food preparation, and a deep understanding of pizza-making techniques, including dough handling, oven operation, and topping selection. The Pizza Maker collaborates closely with other culinary staff to ensure timely and efficient service, all while adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation regulations. Job Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10-12 hours per shift) during food preparation and service
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds (e.g., bulk ingredients, trays, equipment)
Ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and repetitive motions while preparing pizzas
Ability to safely work in a hot, humid, and fast-paced kitchen environment, including near pizza ovens
Visual and manual dexterity to monitor food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and safety standards

Job Qualifications

Must be able to speak clearly and understand basic English to facilitate the communication process
Ability to learn menu items and service procedures
Ability to take direction and to work in a team environment
Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
Ability to learn and follow processes

Job Duties

Prepare and assemble high-quality pizzas following our recipes and standards
Operate and maintain pizza ovens, ensuring proper temperature and cooking times
Monitor and rotate pizza dough to maintain freshness and quality
Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient execution of pizza orders
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and hygienic work environment
Collaborate with other culinary team members to develop new pizza flavors and specials
