The role of Cook at Pizza Inn offers a unique opportunity to be part of a passionate and dedicated team that values both culinary excellence and guest service. As a Cook, you will be responsible for mastering multiple stations and tasks associated with pizza preparation and other specialty items. The Cook must adhere to strict portion control standards, follow safety and sanitation protocols, and uphold the highest food quality standards concerning freshness, temperature, taste, and appearance.

This includes managing equipment properly, following the "clean as you go" policy, and maintaining FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation in handling ingredients and supplies to minimize waste and ensure product freshness. The role also involves following detailed baking and product preparation procedures to produce consistent and delicious pizzas and specialty menu items. Completing side work duties, opening and closing stations correctly, and supporting various departments within the restaurant are additional key responsibilities.

- makes all specialty pizzas correctly
- uses scales for all portioning
- knows all product abbreviations and can read guest checks and/or POS monitors
- follows Buffet Rotation Chart
- follows correct baking procedures
- produces consistent products
- knows and prepares all specialty items
- knows shelf life of products and/or where to locate
- understands FIFO flip and fill and restocking products
- preps and labels items correctly
- can explain importance of minimizing waste and food cost
- completes side work duties
- opens and closes station correctly
