Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as a cook in a fast-paced kitchen
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform kitchen tasks
- Willingness to work as part of a team and cover shifts as needed
- Ability to follow established procedures and checklists
Job Qualifications
- Experience in cooking meats, fish, vegetables, and soups
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow recipes and portion sizes accurately
- Skills in plating and garnishing food items
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as ovens, broilers, grills, fryers, and roasters
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Job Duties
- Cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products
- Prepare and portion food products prior to cooking
- Plate and garnish cooked items
- Inspect and clean food preparation and serving areas
- Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature
- Rotate stock and check freshness of ingredients
- Follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and quality standards
