Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Boochyard Pizza Cook to join our team at the Boochyard, our vibrant on-site taproom and community gathering space where guests enjoy our signature beverage offerings alongside quality food. This role involves preparing and cooking pizzas and similar menu items under the guidance of the Senior Kitchen Lead. As a Boochyard Pizza Cook, you will play a pivotal role in delivering delicious food and a memorable guest experience. You'll be responsible for efficient food prep, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, assisting with ingredient preparation, supporting kitchen staff with various tasks, and ensuring guest satisfaction through attentive and enthusiastic service.

Job Requirements

  • Must have CA Food Handlers card from the San Diego County Department of Environmental Services or be willing and able to obtain before hire date
  • Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to perform physical requirements including lifting, bending, kneeling, twisting, climbing, stooping, crouching, standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Must be a high-energy, passionate individual
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must demonstrate strong teamwork
  • Must maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant preferred

Job Duties

  • Perform prep and cooking of pizza and like food accurately under daily guidance of senior kitchen lead
  • Uphold company values and be knowledgeable Boochyard resource
  • Provide prep and food service with efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Assist with preparation of ingredients including washing, chopping, and storing vegetables, meats and other ingredients
  • Assist in dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness and organization
  • Support kitchen staff with other tasks as needed
  • Perform daily and nightly cleaning tasks including washing, sanitizing, and storing pots, pans and utensils and equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards including emptying trash
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Deliver food to guests ensuring orders are correct
  • Interact with guests in a positive and enthusiastic way, answering basic questions and resolving order issues
  • Consistently maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and general upkeep of taproom
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required or requested
