Job Description
Flanigan's is a well-established restaurant known for its commitment to providing customers with a clean, welcoming, and enjoyable dining experience. With a focus on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation, Flanigan's ensures that every aspect of the restaurant sparkles, from the kitchen to the dining room. This dedication to a pristine environment not only creates a pleasant atmosphere for guests but also upholds health and safety regulations rigorously. The company prides itself on being a team-oriented establishment where every member plays a vital role in keeping the restaurant looking and feeling its best. Flanigan's is recognized for its commitment to employee growth by offering advancement based on performance rather than tenure, as well as providing comprehensive benefits to support their workforce. The role of Dishwasher at Flanigan's is a critical position within the restaurant, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This position involves thorough cleaning and sanitizing of all plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils following Flanigan's stringent sanitation policies. The Dishwasher plays an essential role throughout the shift by continually cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, maintaining the kitchen's cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris from floors, and performing various prep duties including opening and closing tasks. Proper care and maintenance of the dish machine is vital and requires attention at the start, during, and at the end of shifts. Because this is a physically demanding role, it requires individuals to be able to stand and walk for the entire shift, lift heavy items up to 50 pounds repeatedly, and work comfortably in damp and high-temperature environments both indoors and minimally outdoors. Employees must work safely around hot kitchen equipment and sharp utensils, speak, read, and write English proficiently, and support team members as needed. Completion and successful passing of a food safety certification program compliant with both Flanigan's and Florida statutes are required. In addition to being a key player in restaurant operations, the Dishwasher position offers employees numerous benefits which make it an attractive career opportunity. These include a five-day workweek with two consecutive days off, paid vacation structured by tenure—one week after the first year, two weeks after two years, and three weeks after ten years of service—and a Christmas bonus equivalent to one week's pay after one year of employment. Additionally, employees have access to medical and dental health insurance programs, an immediately eligible 401K plan for those aged 21 and over, and free shift meals. Flanigan's fosters a supportive work environment, making this an ideal role for individuals who are conscientious, reliable, and committed to contributing to a team-oriented restaurant setting where cleanliness and customer satisfaction are prioritized.
