Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 500 hours flying time including 500 hours pilot-in-command
  • 200 hours multi-engine flying time
  • commercial pilot certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings
  • current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
  • must acquire FAA Aircraft and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate within 12 months of employment
  • pass physical and physical ability assessments
  • ability to operate and inspect aircraft
  • proficiency with hand and power tools
  • capacity to work irregular hours and tolerate noise and inclement weather

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • commercial pilot certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings
  • current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
  • minimum 500 hours flying time with 500 hours of pilot-in-command time
  • 200 hours of multi-engine flying time
  • knowledge of aircraft operation and maintenance
  • ability to respond quickly during flight preparation and operations
  • strong mathematical skills
  • excellent concentration and decision-making abilities

Job Duties

  • Serve as pilot-in-command on the TRA airplane when directed by the Chief Pilot
  • responsible for pre-flight and post-flight inspections of the Authority's aircraft
  • maintain aircraft inspection and maintenance records
  • oversee shop equipment, tools, and spare parts inventory
  • conduct maintenance and repairs as per Aircraft Operations Manual
  • ensure compliance with safety and regulatory procedures
  • use hand and power tools for aircraft maintenance
