Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Lead Captain
  • Valid Airline Transport Pilot certificate
  • First Class Medical certificate
  • Familiarity with FAA Part 91 and/or Part 135 regulations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage and coordinate crew activities
  • Proficiency in reviewing expense reports and invoices
  • Ability to maintain regulatory compliance
  • Capable of working under pressure and in a team environment
  • Maintenance experience preferred
  • International flight experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years experience as a Lead Captain operating Gulfstream 550 or 650 aircraft
  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate
  • First Class Medical certificate
  • Knowledge of applicable FAA Part 91 and/or FAA Part 135 regulations for Gulfstream 550/650
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with operational specifications, General Operations Manual, and Flight Operations Manual
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage crew schedules and training coordination
  • Preferred maintenance experience with Gulfstream aircraft
  • International flight experience
  • Current with all flight requirements

Job Duties

  • Act as Pilot in Command or Second in Command as designated
  • Ensure compliance with flight and maintenance schedules and other directives governing the aircraft's operation
  • Ensure crew compliance with flight and duty times limitations as outlined in the General Operations Manual or meet Part 135 standards
  • Accomplish pre-flight and post-flight duties and inspections in accordance with the Aircraft Flight Manual
  • Coordinate with Director of Maintenance and Account Manager to ensure aircraft cleanliness
  • Manage aircraft inventory to meet owner or user requirements
  • Monitor crew members' performance and communicate with Assistant Chief Pilot regarding annual reviews
  • Complete and approve crew expense reports per company policy
  • Review monthly billing summaries and report discrepancies to accounting and Account Manager
  • Coordinate and manage crew members' days off and vacation requests
  • Liaison with Assistant Chief Pilot and Director of Training
  • Conduct monthly reviews of currency and upcoming training and evaluation requirements
  • Conduct annual aircraft black book audits
  • Ensure compliance with fleet requirements including SOPs and required paperwork
  • Maintain all required regulatory aircraft operational authorizations
  • Be aware of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events
  • Assist in communication and resolution of mechanical AOG events
  • Review monthly work order invoices
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Controller or Director of Maintenance on maintenance scheduling
  • Communicate trip-related requests or changes from aircraft owner or charter client to Charter Department and Chief Pilot's office
  • Gather operational data for special projects or reporting
  • Foster good working relationships within the Flight Department and with external stakeholders
  • Provide constructive feedback to improve processes and procedures
  • Work with Account Manager in managing aircraft owner's overall experience
  • Update scheduling specialist regarding aircraft schedule changes
  • Participate in the interview and selection process of flight department personnel
  • Communicate for input and approval on all operational, personnel and administrative issues
  • Recommend additional training for flight department members
  • Create strong customer relations and deliver customer-centric solutions
  • Take on new opportunities and challenges with urgency and enthusiasm
