CSX Aviation plays a critical role in the company by ensuring the safe and efficient transport of executive team members to various locations, customer meetings, conferences, and personal travel both domestically and internationally. The Aviation team operates a remarkable fleet that includes a Gulfstream G-450 and Gulfstream G280, which are impeccably maintained by an in-house maintenance team in conjunction with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) based in Savannah, Georgia. The Aviation department proudly holds an IS-BAO Stage 3 certification and upholds nearly eight decades of safe Part 91 business aircraft operations, underscoring its commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.

Job Requirements

  • Associates degree from an accredited institution in an aviation related field
  • 5 or more years of Part 91 or 135 experience in Business Aviation
  • Corporate pilot experience
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate, First class FAA Medical Certificate
  • 3000 hours total time, 2000 hours jet, 1000 hours PIC jet
  • Ability to work on-call 24/7 and in flight within two hours of notification
  • Available to report to work with two-hour advance notice
  • Different shifts as assigned in a 24 hour/7 days a week operation (incl working weekends)
  • Hours which include rotating on-call responsibilities which may be outside standard hours
  • Required to complete a background check
  • Work hours may vary in length and schedule (may include a non-standard work week)

Job Qualifications

  • Associates degree from an accredited institution in an aviation related field
  • 5 or more years of Part 91 or 135 experience in Business Aviation
  • Corporate pilot experience
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate, First class FAA Medical Certificate
  • 3000 hours total time, 2000 hours jet, 1000 hours PIC jet
  • Ability to work on-call 24/7 and in flight within two hours of notification
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an aviation related field (preferred)
  • 10 or more years of Part 91 or 135 experience in Business Aviation (preferred)
  • 7000 hours total time, 3000 hours jet, 2000 hours PIC jet (preferred)
  • Recent international experience that includes north Atlantic operations (preferred)
  • G-450 (GV) typed or G280 typed and current (preferred)
  • Current Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI) (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Provide the safe conduct of flights to meet the organizations travel requirements
  • Operate under flight safety international guidelines
  • Ensuring that preflight inspections are performed, preparing flight plans, using checklists, and performance charts
  • Complying with flight schedules, and other directives governing the aircraft's operation including decisions that dictate operating conditions
  • Provide executive level customer service to passengers
  • Complying with IS-BAO Stage 3
  • Ancillary duties and activities as assigned by manager
