The role offered is crucial in ensuring a seamless online shopping experience for Meijer customers, specifically fulfilling curbside pickup orders. As a key representative of Meijer at the curbside pickup area, the team member will engage with customers in person and over the phone, taking care to answer queries, resolve concerns, and process payment transactions smoothly.

This role requires maintaining a positive, courteous attitude while managing the order fulfillment process from receipt to hand-off, meticulously selecting and bagging products following Meijer’s bagging standards and food safety regulations. The team member will ensure the proper storage of ordered products in the staging area, adhering strictly to food safety guidelines to maintain product quality and freshness. Attention to cleanliness and organization within the work environment is also essential to uphold Meijer's high standards.

Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Experience working in a retail environment preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in a Meijer store preferred
  • Past cashier experience preferred
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Strong communication skills
  • General awareness of food safety regulations
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Process driven and ability to follow procedures in an organized and efficient way

Job Duties

  • Drive customer loyalty and satisfaction by providing remarkable service at the curbside pick-up area with fast, friendly and accurate order fulfillment and payment collection
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with customers, team members, and leadership
  • Present a courteous and friendly attitude towards customers (in person and on phone) and respond to their questions and needs
  • Resolve customer complaints quickly by contacting leadership when needed
  • Receive workflow from dashboard and fulfill orders for the day
  • Utilize selection process for product within the store and bag product appropriately following bagging standards
  • Store product correctly in the staging area following food safety guidelines
  • Greet each customer and take payment for the order ensuring an easy shopping experience
  • Maintain a clean and neat work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required
