Job Description

Southern Tire Mart is recognized as the largest commercial tire dealer in North America, providing an extensive range of premium tire brands and retread tires. As a family-owned and operated business with national reach, Southern Tire Mart has built a strong reputation based on a culture of safety, growth, and customer-first service. The company continues to thrive by focusing on operational excellence and building long-lasting relationships with its customers across numerous sectors. Southern Tire Mart is an industry leader dedicated to delivering superior service while supporting its employees' career growth and professional development.

We are currently seeking dependable and safety-conscious Delivery Drivers to join our logistics team. This role involves safely operating company vehicles, which may include light, medium, or heavy-duty trucks depending on the license held, on daily pickup and delivery routes. Delivery Drivers are responsible for loading and unloading tires, wheels, and parts, some weighing up to 100 pounds, using proper safety techniques and equipment. Timely, courteous, and professional delivery of products to customer locations is a critical part of this position. Additionally, drivers must verify delivery contents, obtain proper signatures and documentation, and maintain accurate delivery logs and daily driver logs as required by Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The role also involves assisting with inventory organization, stocking, and cycle counts, supporting service technicians by transporting tires to and from service calls or jobsites, and conducting daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to report any mechanical issues.

Candidates will need to follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and DOT regulations strictly, ensuring compliance at all times. This position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with overtime potentially necessary. A valid driver’s license is essential, and while a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is not mandatory for most positions, it may be preferred for larger vehicles. Previous delivery or route driving experience is highly valued, along with strong time management and communication skills. The ability to lift and maneuver heavy loads safely is also critical.

By joining Southern Tire Mart, Delivery Drivers receive extensive on-the-job training, access to a 401(k) plan with company match, and health, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage. Paid time off and paid holidays are offered alongside opportunities for career advancement within a growing national company. Employees become part of a safe, supportive, and customer-focused environment that rewards dedication and professionalism. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals seeking a stable and rewarding career in the tire and logistics industry.
