Job Description

Southern Tire Mart is the largest commercial tire dealer in North America, known for being a leading provider of premium brands and retread tires. As a family-owned and operated business with a national reach, the company has established a strong reputation built on a culture of safety, growth, and customer-first service. With decades of experience in the tire industry, Southern Tire Mart supports a diverse client base, including commercial enterprises that rely on dependable tire and vehicle services to keep their operations moving smoothly. The company prides itself on offering quality products combined with expert service and comprehensive support to ensure customer satisfaction at every level.

The role being offered is a Delivery Driver position, a critical part of Southern Tire Mart’s operations. The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely operating company vehicles — ranging from light to heavy-duty trucks depending on the driver’s license and assignments — to complete daily pickup and delivery routes. This position requires physical strength and stamina as it involves loading and unloading tires, wheels, and parts that may weigh up to 100 pounds. The role demands professionalism and courteous interaction with customers while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

Daily tasks include verifying delivery contents, obtaining required signatures and documentation, and maintaining precise delivery logs and driver records that comply with DOT regulations. The delivery driver also assists with inventory organization and stocking, supports service technicians by transporting tires to and from service calls or jobsites, and performs daily vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards. This is a role that values diligence, responsibility, and a focus on safety guidelines, which are paramount in all company operations.

Southern Tire Mart offers an excellent work environment with a focus on employee development, providing on-the-job training and career advancement opportunities within a growing national company. Employees benefit from comprehensive health plans including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, and paid holidays. The company encourages prospective candidates who value a strong safety culture, enjoy working in a dynamic and supportive team, and wish to grow professionally within a stable, family-oriented organization to apply.

This is a full-time role that may require flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and potential overtime. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver's license, with CDL preferred but not mandatory for most delivery roles. A clean driving record and ability to pass a drug screen and background check are essential. Previous delivery or route driving experience is preferred but not required, and familiarity with inventory handling procedures or customer service experience will be advantageous. Overall, this role is ideal for individuals who are physically capable, safety-conscious, and committed to providing excellent delivery service within a well-regarded national tire company.
