Job Description

AAA Cooper Transportation, founded in 1955, is a premier asset-based multi-regional trucking company specializing in less-than-truckload (LTL), truckload, dedicated contract carriage, brokerage, and international transportation services. With directly operated facilities strategically located in the Southeast, Southwest, Midwest, and Puerto Rico, as well as partner carriers providing coverage into Canada, Mexico, and across the globe, AAA Cooper Transportation offers comprehensive shipping solutions to meet nearly all transportation needs. The company prides itself on its commitment to safety and reliability, which sets it apart from competitors in the industry. Over the decades, AAA Cooper has grown to become a trusted name in freight transportation, with more than 1700 employees who have built long-term careers within the organization, many spanning over ten years. This stability and longevity speak volumes about the company culture and their dedication to employee satisfaction and professional growth.

AAA Cooper Transportation is now seeking dedicated and experienced Pick-up and Delivery Drivers to join their growing team. These drivers play a vital role as the face of the company, directly impacting customer relations by ensuring freight is delivered safely, on time, and in excellent condition. The position offers predictable and consistent routes, the opportunity to work with modern and well-maintained equipment, and the invaluable benefit of being home every night, which is a rare and highly valued perk in the trucking industry. As a full-time employee, a Pick-up and Delivery Driver will benefit from the company’s comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, dental, and vision insurance, company contributions to a health savings account, a 401k plan with a company match, and various insurance options including life and disability coverage. Additional benefits such as paid holidays, vacation time, uniforms, weekly direct deposits, safety and performance rewards, tuition reimbursement, and employee assistance programs further enhance the overall employment experience.

The role requires individuals who are safety-conscious and comply fully with all state and federal regulations governing commercial vehicle operation. Drivers will be responsible for loading and unloading freight, inspecting equipment for defects, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all freight handling is completed without damage. A strong emphasis is placed on customer service, professionalism, and teamwork within the terminal and while on the road. Physical demands of the job include frequent squatting, bending, carrying, and pushing freight up to 500 lbs., and the ability to operate complex vehicle systems such as manual transmissions and trailer coupling mechanisms. Prospective candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Class A Interstate Commercial Driver's License with hazardous materials and double/triple trailer endorsements. Overall, this is an excellent career opportunity for individuals looking to establish a stable, rewarding trucking career with a reputable and employee-focused company.
