Residents of Kernersville benefit from quick access to numerous metropolitan amenities found in nearby Winston-Salem and Greensboro, NC. This vibrant community supports a balanced lifestyle, combining career growth opportunities with a great quality of life and convenient access to healthcare and cultural resources.

The OB Hospitalist role is a full-time, permanent employed position within a well-established women’s services team dedicated to supporting labor and delivery services at a leading medical center. This center is equipped with modern clinical facilities including labor, delivery, recovery rooms, lactation services, neonatal support, and an advanced infant security system. Catering to women of all ages from Kernersville and surrounding communities, the medical center aims to provide exceptional maternal care with state-of-the-art technology. This medical center has a strong focus on maternity care and delivers over 18,000 babies annually. The facilities meet the highest standards for infant feeding practices, having received Baby-Friendly accreditation for all eligible sites. Within the hospital, twelve LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) style delivery suites provide a comfortable, comprehensive experience for mothers and newborns. The center’s proximity to tertiary care hospitals ensures access to dedicated maternal and infant transport services when additional medical resources are required, providing an integrated safety net.

The health system behind this opportunity is one of the largest community-based, nonprofit healthcare providers in the region. Highly regarded for offering advanced care, it is consistently ranked in the 90th percentile for provider engagement according to recent Press Ganey surveys. The system promotes resiliency training to mitigate physician burnout and supports a balanced work-life approach, enhancing overall provider satisfaction and patient care quality. Physician leadership is a hallmark of this organization; physicians actively participate in strategic decision-making and leadership roles, which significantly influences operational policies and clinical protocols. This collaborative and patient-centered approach ensures that healthcare delivery is meticulously aligned with patient needs and staff expertise.

Joining this medical group means affiliating with a world-class team comprising more than 550 physician practices, 100 outpatient facilities, and 15 medical centers across North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina, and Georgia. The health system employs over 27,000 team members and physician partners, all dedicated to advancing the patient experience through innovation, empathy, and excellence in care.

The recruitment package reflects the value the system places on its physicians by offering a two-year salary guarantee, comprehensive medical and retirement benefits, relocation assistance, CME allowance, coverage for malpractice insurance, and access to an advanced electronic health record system (Epic). These incentives promote long-term career growth and stability within an environment that prioritizes professional development and personal well-being. The hospital’s commitment to work-life balance and loan assistance further underscores its dedication to supporting the holistic needs of its clinicians.
