Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or higher from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education accredited institution
  • Current, unencumbered state license as a Physical Therapist
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to perform physical assessments and administer therapy treatments
  • Effective communication skills for patient and family instruction
  • Physical ability to perform essential functions including lifting up to 50 pounds and walking/standing regularly
  • Willingness to adapt to healthcare system changes and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
  • One year of physical therapy experience with adults in home health or rehabilitation settings preferred
  • Current, unencumbered state license as a Physical Therapist
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to manage diverse caseloads and adapt to dynamic care environments

Job Duties

  • Plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs to restore function relieve pain and prevent disability
  • Completes comprehensive physical assessments and identifies referral needs for additional clinical disciplines
  • Performs patient tests measurements and evaluations such as range-of-motion and manual muscle tests functional analysis and body-part measurements
  • Instructs patient and family in physical therapy procedures to be continued at home
  • Supervises licensed physical therapy assistants and aides
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of evolving treatments technologies and patient care standards
