Job Description
Jostens, a leader in the student commemoration market for over 125 years, specializes in creating memorable products and experiences for K-12 schools, colleges, and universities across the United States. Known primarily for their iconic yearbooks, letter jackets, class jewelry, and championship rings, Jostens has become a trusted partner for thousands of educational institutions, sports teams, and organizations nationwide. With 13 first-class facilities spanning North America to the Caribbean, the company prides itself on preserving cherished traditions and inspiring millions of individuals to celebrate their milestones and achievements. Jostens is committed to full inclusion and equal opportunity employment, fostering a supportive and dynamic work environment that values diversity and dedication.
Jostens is currently seeking a passionate and organized Seasonal Photo Team Manager based in Tampa, FL or surrounding cities. This hybrid position combines remote work and onsite responsibilities at various school locations, primarily from June through November, with potential extension into December. Employees can expect competitive hourly pay ranging from $23 to $25, full-time status with eligibility for healthcare benefits, and the opportunity for overtime during peak periods. This role offers a unique leadership opportunity within a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment focused on delivering exceptional photographic experiences for students and their families.
As a Seasonal Photo Team Manager, you will lead, train, and manage a team of talented photographers, ensuring smooth and efficient school photography operations. Your responsibilities will include overseeing photo day logistics, coordinating schedules, handling equipment storage and transportation, and maintaining consistent communication between photographers and school contacts. The role demands a mix of hands-on event support, leadership, logistical coordination, and a strong commitment to quality and professionalism. Comprehensive paid training is provided, including a three-day on-site "Train the Trainer" session and virtual training modules, so no prior photography experience is necessary.
This position requires a leader with proven success in managing teams and driving performance under pressure. You should have a four-year degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant business experience, excellent communication skills, strong organizational capabilities, and the ability to multitask effectively. Physical stamina is essential, as you must be able to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds and maintain energy during busy photo days. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and travel locally to schools within the assigned hub is mandatory. Additionally, candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle large enough to transport photography equipment.
Jostens embraces a culture of recognition and support, offering numerous benefits including daily pay options through DailyPay, healthcare coverage including dental and vision, a 401K plan with immediate vesting, and various voluntary benefits such as discounts on insurance and travel perks. Working at Jostens means joining a fun, collaborative team dedicated to success and providing invaluable experiences for students through iconic school photography events.
