Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five years of related work experience including three years in security, law enforcement, or military
- Preferred two years related work experience in event management
- Ability to develop and execute staffing and event plans
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Workforce Management System
- Ability to manage large teams of supervisors and staff
- Must be able to work extended hours and weekends during events
- Capacity to walk significant distances and navigate stairs
- Willingness to travel and possibly relocate
- Completion of mandated industry trainings
Job Qualifications
- Five years of related work experience with at least three years in security, law enforcement, or military
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred experience in managing convention-centric events and venues
- Bachelor or Associate degree preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions
- People management and leadership skills
Job Duties
- Develops staffing plans, deployments, and event estimates for the Phoenix Convention Center
- Communicates with and briefs event staff, supervisors, and event area directors
- Manages over 50 supervisors and staff responsible for event crowd management activities
- Coordinates all event details internally and externally
- Interfaces with clients and team representatives to create staffing and operational event plans
- Prepares paperwork, ensures uniform and equipment requests are submitted, and completes all assigned tasks
- Attends major events, mitigates potential issues that arise
- Coordinates event operational planning timelines to meet client deadlines
- Attends meetings and serves as the face of the organization in coordination with client events
- Performs other duties as assigned by senior management and direct supervision
