Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year customer service experience
- flexible and available based on staffing requirements including weekends, holidays, and overtime
- able to stand or sit for prolonged periods
- able to lift up to 25 pounds and carry up to 15 pounds for several minutes
- able to talk and communicate clearly
- good vision with constant mental visual attention to details
- able to walk, balance, bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, and twist
- knowledge of medical terminology helpful but not required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year customer service experience
- strong communication skills
- able to speak clearly and effectively communicate to customers and peer groups
- good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
- able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise consistent, independent, sound judgment
- flexible and available based on staffing requirements including weekends, holidays, and overtime
Job Duties
- Greet customers appropriately
- treat all customers in a courteous manner
- assist patients with kiosk sign-in and ensure accuracy
- contact clients to obtain patient orders
- handle customer inquiries
- read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures
- perform basic clerical duties such as filing, faxing, and preparing mail
- demonstrate organizational commitment and values of Quest Diagnostics
- adhere to departmental and company policies
- report on time to work following attendance guidelines
- answer the telephone in a friendly and helpful manner by incorporating the company name, self-identification, and a helpful statement
- use established protocols for reporting customer complaints
- ensure that HIPAA compliance regulations are followed
- complete all required training
- assist with stocking of supplies
- perform other duties as required to meet customer requirements
- complete special projects as requested by supervisor or manager
