Job Requirements

  • 1+ year phlebotomy lab experience
  • valid and in-state driver license
  • active auto insurance
  • active level II background
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • completion of blood collection or medical assistant training
  • experience in hospital laboratory setting
  • minimum typing skills of 30 wpm
  • national certification in blood collection
  • certification as a lab assistant

  • valid and in-state driver license
  • active auto insurance
  • active level II background
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • completion of blood collection, medical assistant, or similar training program
  • experience in a hospital laboratory setting
  • minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute
  • national certification in blood collection if performing phlebotomy duties
  • certification as a lab assistant

Job Duties

  • Performs assigned pre-analytical activities related to laboratory testing, including equipment maintenance, function checks, and documentation
  • manages inventory control and supply stocking
  • collects blood specimens via phlebotomy and skin puncture across all age groups
  • processes biological specimens
  • cleans and disinfects laboratory equipment and workspaces
  • maintains neat and organized work areas with proper documentation storage
  • performs post-analytical activities as needed to support department operations
  • provides clerical and receptionist duties including answering telephones
  • assists laboratory management with special projects as assigned
